Google Caffeine Needs Sugar?
So I woke up this morning, added some cream to the coffee and popped open TweetDeck to the news of “Google Caffeine.” In short, this update was designed to build in more speed, as well as to incorporate the buzz du jour: “real-time search.”
I clicked on what amounts to the beta link, typed a keyword and hit the search button. Then I opened regular old Google decaf, did the same and looked at the results. My caffeine from real coffee had not kicked in yet, or I would have pulled screen captures of the results. Caffeine was decidedly quicker by something like one millionth of a second, but who’s counting. Moreover, the results were, well, let’s say they were not sweet with “real-time” data.
I suspect it is either a bold coincidence or a fix to get the key drivers of “Caffeine” working right, but the beta link is down for maintenance at the moment. Should be interesting to see what it all looks like when the script is back flowing (and this time I’ll grab some screenshots to be sure). In the meantime, to check out all the real-time chatter about the Google and its Caffeine, head on over to Twitter search.
