You Can’t Handle the Streaming Video

More and more consumers are joining the ranks of the “content creators.” Every day there are more people using Twitter, Facebook, or starting a blog.

The sudden and meteoric rise of both Facebook and Twitter has shown us that individuals want to share content, but may still be looking for the right forum that suits their needs. A blog may seem daunting, but a tweet is an easy way to share your voice.

blog_cameralensEnter another option for content creation that could lower the bar for online video uploads: Yoostar. I first heard about this from Springwise who likened the product to karaoke for movies. Consumers purchase a kit that includes software, a video camera and their very own green screen. With these simple tools, they can insert themselves into scenes from major motion pictures.

Games like Rock Band let consumers step into the faux spotlight right from their living rooms. No more singing in the shower; soon you’ll even be able to play with the Beatles. With Yoostar, we can all shine on the silver screen (or at least on YouTube).

It’s just another way that technology is giving us more ways to contribute to the conversation.
